Hello, and welcome to the page rock climbing toronto.net
My name is Frank and first of all I apologies that you can’t see a lot about rock climbing in Toronto, however you can find here a lot about rock climbing itself!
So if you have landed on this site I am very sure that you are rock climber just like me and my friends and that mean you may be interested about content of this site because all this here is about something which every climber wants, something which all climbers are thinking and dreaming about all the time – and it is: How to climb harder!
Do you think it is not true? Well I think that there aren’t many climbers who really don’t care about climb harder but when i look around i see all climbers i know doing all possible to climb harder whether they are young, old, beginners, or very hard climbing people.
I created this amateur web page to share some info with other climbers because I was feeling that majority of all climbers train hard but they aren’t moving anywhere or they wants to climb harder but they aren’t trying it the right way. And now i know that it is not hard to do it right way!
I was pretty much same, very keen to climb harder so I have spend hours and hours in indoor climbing gyms doing bouldering leading finger boarding but I did not really improve much!
And now I know WHY!
There is nothing wrong on hard training but if you doing it wrong way your body and brain just won’t take it and all that time and power goes to the bin! Yes I said brain because that is where I going to this entire article.
Brain – that is the key to climb much harder.
I was never thinking about my psychological way to climb and that was what I was missing all those wasted hours on indoor climbing wall. Fortunately then I’ve found a lot of tips and answers and all my live (not only climbing) turned around and now i am able to climb a few grades harder just because i have organized my training and mind.
I was only climbing F6a+ sports grade when I discovered this magic book, this book not only heightened my passion for climbing but also improved my personal life, because I am simply a happier person, happier than I have ever been. At the moment I am currently climbing routes graded F7a !!!
Mick Ward has been a climber for over 40 years. As a psychologist, he has helped many people improve their performance and develop their potential. He is published in over 25 countries. He has written dozens of articles for specialist magazines such as Climber, Climbing, High, Mountain, On The Edge, Irish Mountain Log, Summit. During the last few years he has made over 100 First Ascents.
This experienced climber, coach and psychologist has written all of his skills and practices into one book. This book has helped hundreds of people to climb harder all over the world. Unexpectedly pushing themselves further than they could have ever imagined.
He knows how to train not only the body but also climbers minds, their conscious and unconscious. This is what drives your fears and feelings from new heights and from harder routes which you would never have tried before.
Basically this book showed me the way to improve climbing by several grades, what I personally did not believe possible to achieve in such a short period of time. In just a few short months you would see dramatic changes to the way you climb and improvements that would even have the most experienced climbers in disbelief because if you ask any experienced climber every one of them would tell you that you can improve by only one or two grades a year!
So that’s all now and, if you found it little bit interesting check the link to his official website where you can read feedbacks from other climbers and also download this absolutely phenomenal book from Mick Ward.
Thanx for reading guys and have a good climb!
